Elwood is one of the three puppies stayed home from our Fala's and Rowtag's Happy Feet-litter, born 7.8.2023. After litter theme Happy Feet we named all puppies after different stones and jewelry and this boy is named after Granite, which is found in multiple colors from Ylämaa, where we live. Calling name Elwood is from movie Blues Brother.

Elwood's parents are our import male Cahppes Amazing Ace Archie and our home bred Tsaani Kivliktuk Quvianuq. They had 11 puppies, 5 girls and 6 boys, and it wasn't easy to pick the boy we want to stay at home. Finally biggest boy puppy got our hearts, not because his size, but his personality and looks, and Elwood was the one to stay in our kennel.

Elwood seems to be quite fun, confident and sweet boy, who is also very social and easy going. In sledding he is very strong and eager, and he goes already in lead, so we have high hopes for him in the future! From season 2024-2025 Elwood has weight pull result KVK3 from ALMA Off Snow REK2. In winter season 2025-2026 Elwood has done following races: Ukkohalla-Paljakka Ajot MD4 (2 x 35 km), Ruunaa Race MD6 (3 x 41 km), Åredraget MD4-6 (155 km), Nuottavaara MD4 (3 x 32 km) and Kuusamo MD4 (2 x 20 km), most of them as a leader.

Elwood has been proven healthy with his hips, elbows and spine. In eye examination he had something in his another eye and vet couldn't tell for sure, what it is, so it's marked as ssuspicious for cortical cataract. We are checking his eyes later again, to know more. In Dna-tests he is healthy with Alaskan malamute Polyneuropathy, Cone Degeneration and Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia. Elwood is long coat gene carrier, but himself he has normal coat.
